323221 has been repainted into its original Centro Regional Railways livery and is looking very good. I’m enjoying this recent trend to celebrate historical liveries.

Re: The 'Other Sim'
For anyone interested I notice that Humble Bundle are offering a heavily discounted bundle for the base game of Train Sim plus a number of DLC (there are three from price bands £1-10 with differing amounts): https://www.humblebundle.com/games/train-simulator-all-aboard-bundle I know some will call i...

Re: Class 101 (and others) project
Wow that looks an excellent start for the 101, well done. That would definitely fill a hole among the UK content. I should be able to set that up too. I guess the question is - what do you want the vote to include; Everything mentioned so far? Some things not already mentioned? Or do you want to see...

Re: Platform Allocations
Platforms allocations are often determined by either timetabling or infrastructure constraints, particularly at busier stations where planners which to maximise throughput and minimise occupancy times. As a result you’ll often see certain services consistently using the same platforms (ignoring any ...

Re: Hitachi 800 problem
I suspect it may be a combination of speed and multiple working. I think the 387s need to improved pantograph to be allowed to run at over 100mph and as 12 carriage sets. As a result the same limitation might not apply to electric locos. I’m not a rolling stock or electrification engineer so what I’...

Re: Hitachi 800 problem
Software update makes sense, but needing special pantos to run on the GWML? That seems odd, unless for cheapness, the C2C ones are only fitted with a panto rated for 100mph? I don't think there's anywhere on the LTS that even exceeds ~75, is there? To shamelessly quote from the RailUK forums ( here...

Re: Class 43's finally go down the exportation route
It's sad to see the demise of the HST's in the UK. They've been magnificent trains over the years - and I still think they are capable of many more years in service in this country. I would far rather travel on a HST than any god-awful Voyager train. If you live in the right part of the country the...

I’ll kick things off with a trip to Bromsgrove. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51058317738_2de665c3ef_b.jpg To enter this month, a donation of Easter eggs is required. Mark is on a diet, so feel free to send me his too. Wouldn’t it be a shame if your Easter eggs were to somehow get lost in the ...

That collection of traffic lights still looks less cluttered than half the junctions around Birmingham these days.PFX wrote:Anyone who saw my post about traffic lights will see a collection of same to the left. Reference material.

Hi Gam, If you PM the screenshots via the sites messaging system (or just post them in the thread) that will be fine since I don't think my email is visible on my account and if I put it in the thread i'll no doubt be opening the door to spammers. Cheers, Finn You can share your email via PM, which...
