Re: Referendum: In or Out
Hi Dave It's a bit early to be thinking that everything will be fine. Once this decision really sinks in and all of the implications have been analysed the markets could go either way. Over the next year or so things will become apparent that haven't yet been fully thought through and which could ha...

Re: Referendum: In or Out
Hi again Both sides spouted complete rubbish during the campaign but whatever the remain camp said is irrelevant now as leave won and therefore have to deliver the goods. I very much doubt that UKIP is finished if Boris and Co don't deliver on immigration. If that happens then I can see UKIP becomin...

Re: Referendum: In or Out
Hi Does anyone know why we had a referendum? Boris and various other leave campaigners are now saying that leaving the EU will have very little impact on immigration and they're all now saying that there isn't £350 million to spend on the NHS after all. There is indecision about whether we will have...

Re: Referendum: In or Out
Hi You don't have to put your cross on the voting paper in pencil. The polling officer has a legal requirement to provide a pencil in the polling booth but there is no reason why you can't take a pen with you and use that. Government forms are scanned in to computers so it makes sense to use black i...

Re: Gravity Shunting!!
Hi I'm afraid I'm a bit late to this party but I have successfully had AI fly shunting and hump shunting operating in TS12. These scenarios are created using the SCS2013 rule and I have successfully had random freight trains coming into the reception yard that were then randomly sorted into the main...

Re: Is it worth getting into payware?
Hi klambert Jointed Rail make freeware route modules but make their money by selling rolling stock tailored to that particular module. There will usually be a few scenery items included with the payware but I find that their routes are usable with a few substitutions in place of the payware if the t...

Re: Interlocking Towers - T:ANE
Hi Peter I would really like to be able to use the ECML route for AI sessions and the ITs are the only path setting rule that will create and activate paths on that route. Brummfondels rule has a nanny fit every time it goes near the ECML and even his Autodrive command doesn't show up for selection....

Re: Interlocking Towers - T:ANE
Hi Dave Presumably that means that semaphores are unable to be used correctly with path rules in T:ANE at the moment then? Both brummfondels and the new ITs require a signal state to be set and the signal reverts to automatic when the path is completed. Hopefully any new script changes that come fro...

Re: Interlocking Towers - T:ANE
Hi Peter - I've been trying out the ITs in Carlisle station on the S&C route and, with all signals on the path set to automatic, the semaphore signals appear to respond correctly. I assume that these signals will use the earlier bloodnok script. It would seem that the developers of T:ANE have gr...

Re: Interlocking Towers - T:ANE
Hi again I've just been reading through all of the posts on this thread and I would like to point out that the VSR signals have always been a pain for any type of path control or signal control. I was a beta tester for what is now the SCS2013 rule which has commands for controlling signals, none of ...

Re: Interlocking Towers - T:ANE
Hi Innes The path rule can be used independently of the path trigger rule but the path trigger rule enhances what can be done with the path rule. Brummfondel also has a number of other commands which, considering when they were created, are still quite useful. The autodrive command for example can b...

Re: Interlocking Towers - T:ANE
Hi Brummfondels Path rule does work in T:ANE but not with the ECML. The size of the route (about 5,500 junctions) causes problems for many rules and driver commands with either curtailed lists of trackmarks, junctions etc or script errors due to timeouts when trying to populate the list boxes. The b...

Re: The Politics thread
Hi again After spending over 30 years in engineering (as a CNC setter operator Warbo) I was made redundant when I was 55. I couldn't get a job for love nor money as, when I mentioned my age, all I would be told was "we'll let you know" and of course I never heard anything again. After 15 m...

Re: The Politics thread
Hi dealt with the clueless dweebs at the Job Centre This type of thread always degenerates into a slanging match. Take the throw away quote above which denigrates all of the people who work at the Jobcenter but has no indication of why the poster holds this opinion. Perhaps he has had a brush with s...

Re: Realistic semaphore signalling?
Hi again Brian I use either the SCS2013 rule to create sessions or I use one of the path rules within an ordinary session to set up the paths for the trains. In my opinion this is more realistic as the trains have the path set up for them and just drive to what ever destination that you have set for...
