Re: S&C for TANE released (Payware)
Apologies for dragging up an old thread, but as you'll all have gathered by now, I'm in the process of upgrading from 2010 to TANE. I've imported all of my content over, but have so many missing dependencies, most seem to be S&C loco related. I've tried importing the missing files from 2010 (the...

Re: Trainz kuid index site?
Thanks Dave - it is useful, as I know it's not just my end. Bit of a pain searching for kuids now though!

Trainz kuid index site?
Having found the other day you now need to be registered on the Trainz kuid index site, the other day I proceeded to do exactly that, and registered with no problem. However, several days later and my confirmation email has not yet arrived (didn't go into my spam either). I tried to contact them reg...

Re: Upgrading - will older assets still work?
Thanks for that. I'd used some of PEV's software before, but not that one, shall have a look at it.

Re: Upgrading - will older assets still work?
As I'm not used to something like a sim on digital download via Steam, can anyone advise how it all works, and where the various files are located? I'm used to N3V (or Auran as it was back then!) having its own folder with the game settings and content in files within there. Think I might need a lot...

Re: Upgrading - will older assets still work?
Apologies for the severe delay in replying. Many thanks to you both - much appreciated. I purchased TANE very cheaply in a Steam sale around christmas. Now to try and remember how to import everything, get everything working and to try and work out what settings I need to change (and what to put in ...

Upgrading - will older assets still work?
I've not played a sim for ages - but the intention is to get it up and running at some point (maybe not just yet, but it's definitely the intention) I still have TS2010, and if I upgrade to TANE would all of the assets and routes etc I have on 2010 work OK in this version?, or as most of the assets ...

Re: Minimum build accepted by DLS now 3.7
This does really tell me I need to upgrade  It's a problem when a version is outdated after only a few years, such is the progress of technology. Looks like I'll be with '10 for a few years - I simply can't afford to keep upgrading. Question is, if and when I can upgrade in a while, would all o...

Uninstalling Trainz?
As TRS is no longer required on this laptop, I was going to uninstall it. However, when I tried to uninstall via the uninstall program within the game files, it said the .dat file was corrupted, and was unable to uninstall. It also wasn't listed in the programs section of the control panel. What wou...

Re: Lever Bros / Albright & Wilson PCA Tanks
As far as I know they were withdrawn, bar from a couple (now also gone) at Longport, and the sole extant one at Healey Mills. Indeed those that may have surrendered their frames for other wagons I think have largely gone too, but you'd have your work cut out trying to find what ones became what new-...

Re: 4 wheeled wagons
Generally speaking after the end of steam these things were gradually phased out. Small vans probably went before small open tipplers etc - battered rakes of these were still around in the early 1980s. I believe the HTV variant of coal hopper (HTOs were on the hit list a bit earlier) also survived u...

Re: Favourite items of rolling stock
Being a wagon fan, I have to say the large variety of freight vehicles are my favourite  In terms of a creation point a view, I think the vast amount of shunters we have available are fantastic, after all, who doesn't like a bit of shunting?! The 66 model is definitely up there, as is the BR St...

Re: What ever happened to ...
I am still around, I do still build some stuff mainly for myself and certain people... There was a falling out over my meshes being handed out. that is why I quit content creation for trainz... I since have been on the other sim, and have liked it more than trainz... I do watch this forum to see wh...
