Yes, that is correct, a drawing showing the end on profile.

Request for a diagram (drawing)

Since my latest project became a bit of a disaster (I got put off because there was quite an error in the drawing), so I am wondering, does anyone know where I can find a much much more accurate British Rail Mk1 end carriage drawings? A 63ft carriage would be fine, but I prefer a 57ft carriage if po...

Re: Snow

It's the blame culture these days , little (insert name) falls over on the ice and breaks his/her arm on school property and his parents sue the teacher / school / council . Or suffer hyperthermia! You have to wrap kids up in bubble wrap to even get them out of the classroom, in case they hit doors...

Re: Snow

As everyone is discussing the snow of 2013, we now are sort of suffering global warming down here, its still cold, but only as rain, it rained on me earlier! See below. Well, after the snow had subsided and the worst bits of my illness clearing up (Still taking time off work, just in case I get wors...

Re: Snow

My ruler was measuring in most places 7-12cm of snow. This afternoon, it was still 5cm (well what I picked off the Corsa anyway), but shockingly and well done for Southern for doing this, the trains were running quite well despite the conditions, despite the fact in 2010, they completely stopped and...

Re: WEN's Class 477 reskins

WEN has said on the Auran forum to substitute this enginesound. ... for reasons of copyright, its one of those things, you think it won't go out for a while and you be able to substitute something, but I cannot redistribute files that are copyrighted, in this case, its a "BVE engine sound"...

Re: 12/12 - December 2012 Screenshots

@Dave: Littlehampton? Correct , though it's gained a new platform and some extra trackwork ;) The real thing as far as I know of, still has semaphore signals as well. I know Bognor Regis STILL has semaphore signals, because I was there yesterday (24th December), curiously, this doesn't include the ...

Re: Work experience - for those interested.

I think I should explain how I got a work experience with Southern, as I know some have been asking about railway careers in another thread which is why I started a seperate one (I failed a number of interviews as well, so this was a logical choice for me) and I thought it would be helpful for the y...

Work experience - for those interested.

I guess many of you noticed how quiet I have been. Well, very, that’s because I had a very interesting problem with life as I have now ended up on a work placement with Southern. (Plus I have another job already and the like.) I know for those of an older generation probably won't be interested in b...

Re: Getting a job with LUL or a train company

They may have relaxed the rules a bit since my railway days. The old BR was pretty strict when it came to vision related issues. I think the criteria then was you had to have 20/20 vision with corrective lenses, if you required them after earlier medicals which were perfect. Chris A These days, fro...

Re: Off the rails

You must have missed that bit that I typed! ;) The majority of those names you typed above are no longer under British ownership. There's also a big difference between "made in Britain" and "assembled in Britain". Just 15 years ago, here in Coventry alone we had a massive Peugeo...
