That freight looks rather heavy for Borough Market Junction!

That area is RA 5 with a maximum permitted tonnage of, I think, around 800 metric tonnes. (According to the Sectional Appendix South East (Kent, Sussex, Wessex territory.) However, it does state that MGRs can run through there but I can't find a limit for a maximum MGR load at the moment so I assume the 800 tonnes applies there too.

Cheers

As well as all the helpful folks here when it comes to Trainz queries, I also love the fact that we have ex-railwaymen to provide us with operational knowledge and the odd anecdote. Or should that be operational anecdotes with the odd bit of knowledge? :D

Hmm that's interesting as my Sectional Appendix of the area, (dated 2013) says the area is RA8.

I'll check again tomorrow, Karl. I've been running about a bit today, which ain't too good for a weak old fart like me, so don't be surprised if I've read it upside down or the wrong way round  I was looking online this morning so anything's possible. Must admit, I was surprised at RA 5 but as it's mostly viaducts around there I just took it at face value.

Cheers

Aplogies to you Karl, you are right. The route IS RA 8. I've looked again this morning and I was quoting you from the permissions and restrictions for the use of MGR wagons through that section of the railway estate. The "waffle" gets quote complicated in some paragraphs - typical rules and regs. What makes me laugh though is that there is always the old BR "rider" that says, "except where authorised." In other words, anything is possible if you ask the right bloke ha ha ha!

Cheers
