It's very BR late 80's / early 90's - back when the railways were interesting with various liveries in one set - and a Scotrail coach could be seen on a Cross Country set in Penzance - and a Network South East coach could be seen in Aberdeen.

Network Inter-Regional-Scotrail Blue & Grey

I love that era so colourful and messy . I actually saw a few trains where the coaches had been marshalled blue & grey , Exec , Blue & grey , exec , blue & grey etc. all along the train . Must have been a quiet night down the carriage sidings combined with a mischievous shunter

Here's Flickr pic of the same formation as in my screenshots passing Dawlish 9th July 1987 8-)

Note the early non air-con ScotRail blue stripe Mk2 a rare beast south of the border !

Three guards compartments - oh how times change. These days, a "guard" (train manager, or whatever they like to call them these days) is seen as a luxury - and you have to balance your luggage and bike on your head throughout your journey

Cyberdonblue has shared stories of his driving antics on here. This was clearly him working that night :P

Loving the two speedboats in the photo by the way. Clearly a couple of Bullseye jackpot winners living down that way ;)

Great shots Dave!

I've been working the on the Par/St Blazey area recently, The depot is a vast improvement :D

DBS 66 under my new custom made St Blazey shed, which took about half a day to build.

South end of the depot

Image
The former St Blazey station, all trains still stop here for token exchanges at the signal box, up the Newquay branch.

Image
An aerial view of the area, the line on the left curves around to Par on the mainline. in the distance the sea of South Cornwall can be seen.

Image
And finally a view of Par station, all station buildings here have been improved, especially the canopy with more detailed pillars and added roof beams.

Wyndborne, terminus of SIGMA Thorton services on the South Section:

Despite being the principal destination out of Thorton Carpenters, the station is currently a choking point for SIGMA, with only the inner two platforms electrified and capable of returning Trains to Thorton, the service frequency is limited by how many trains can use a single platform (one for stopping services to Thorton Central, Huntley and Pluckley Downs, and the other for fast Carpenters services), with some trains being forced to terminate at Dromfields further up the line.
The outer platforms are served primarily by CrossCountry and GWR services via the new chord between Dromfields and Westmouth Harbour.
