This is probably because Paintshed has been discontinued after UTC(i think). Reskinning can now easily be done outside of paintshed.

There was a Paintshed for both 2004 & 2006, although the 2006 version was a non-runner so people would be told to use the 2004 version instead.
It was never much good, as the templates supplied were very limited & better reskins could be done in 3rd party applications as Huccaby points out above.

Paintshop Pro & Photoshop are good, but they are pricey, Paint.Net & Gimp are both available for FREE & very good reskins can be done using them, but be aware
that reskinning takes practice to perfect & it's not everybody's 'Kettle of fish'. :)

Unfortunately i am not sure why but Paint, Gimp and Photoshoot can't open TGA files. According to this guide it said to save it as a TGA file.http://online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/inde ... n_an_Asset

You could use irfanview to save and open .tga files; then convert them to the relevant .jpg/.bmp that you need.

Personally i use the PAINT.NET program which is free.

http://www.getpaint.net/download.html

It doesn't "bleed" your texture colours into each other and you can convert the files into other forms.
