Missing Dependencies

Does anybody know what the above asset is and where I might find it? I've tried TKI but nothing found. It's the only thing preventing me from getting my HAA's running in T:ANE. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Missing Dependencies
Thanks a million, Gary. I've got your HAA's but I love those older ones too. I spent years dragging those wagons around in the real world and they were mostly in a filthy state so I like to use some of those by majekear. He's got the amount of filth about right Thanks again though and many thanks for the invaluable link.

Re: Missing Dependencies
I agree with Dave regarding Majekear's HAA MGR wagons, they were a great addition in TR2010, if only they would work in TR2012 or T:ANE for me, they show up errors which I've got no idea how to fix.

Re: Missing Dependencies
It's probably the old saga of the .tga/.texture problem Shane. Once I got hold of the asset I needed for these wagons that Gary pointed me towards I thought everything would be fine but the .tga/.texture problem popped up. It was easily resolved, but then I knew what to look for. How do you explain it to someone who doesn't know?
Dave
PS. I never had a problem with them in TS2012

Re: Missing Dependencies
Hi again, in TS2012 & T:ANE I get the following from CMP regarding Majekear's HAA wagons
Warning: This asset uses an obsolete trainz-build number. Trainz-build numbers below 2.9 are no longer supported.
Warning: Aliased meshes cannot currently be verified by Trainz.
Error: The tag 'image' in '1' points to a nonexistent file: 'haa_red_art\3haa_red_art_icon.tga'.

Re: Missing Dependencies
Yeah, that's one I got too, Gam; after I'd fixed my "missing asset." If you look in the config.txt file there is a missing image file (the one listed in the fault.) I'm not too technically minded as far as Trainz goes but I decided to have a go. I'm not really sure that the way I cured the problem is strictly legitimate though but, as it's for personal use, here's what I did:
I looked for another HAA wagon that contained the same or a very similar file to the one listed as missing. I found one called "haa_red_art\haa_red_art_icon.tga" (notice there is no number 3 in the file name as there is in the original.)
Copy this file and then open the faulty wagon's files for editing and paste it in there (next to the config files and door files etc); however, because there is no number 3 in the file name, a tiny bit more editing becomes necessary.
Now open the faulty wagon's config.txt file and scroll down to "thumbnails 1" which is where the original fault is listed as living. Here, you will find:
image "haa_red_art/3haa_red_art_icon.tga"
This is the original code and is now wrong, generating the fault. It will also generate a fault complaining that the file is being used twice unless you make a further small change.
So now, change this code to:
'image "haa_red_art/haa_red_art_icon.texture" (delete the number 3 and change .tga to .texture) Then select File > Save.
Now (in T:ANE) exit all the way back to CM where your wagon is showing in red as faulty and open for editing.
Right mouse click and select "Submit Edits."
Your wagon's Status should now change to "Modified" and the fault should be gone. With the remaining faulty HAA's (of the same family, so to speak) you should only have to edit the code because the (previously missing) image file will probably already appear (it did for me, anyway.) This editing should also work if you edit the file in TS2012 - just make sure it's the same fault before you start changing things though.
I hope that's a help, Gam. If you're anything like me, it sounds quite daunting but don't be put off. Have a go.
Cheers.
Dave

Re: Missing Dependencies
Thanks for the advice Dave however I'm slightly confused. When you say " I looked for another HAA wagon that contained the same or a very similar file to the one listed as missing." Do you mean another Author's HAA or one of Majekears items that's being worked on?
A slightly thick Gam.

Re: Missing Dependencies
Don't worry, Gam, they don't come much thicker than me, Mate That's why I said I was a little bit worried about the legitimacy of what I'd done because I "borrowed" the missing file from another author. The missing file is just a picture of a HAA with red trim really but that's me simplifying it and some authors may get very upset about what I've done. However, my defence is that it's for personal use and I wouldn't have a clue how else to fix the problem. I'm not telling you to do the same, just telling you what I did. What you now decide to do is, of course, entirely up to you . I hope that's some help to you.

Re: Missing Dependencies
Had to give up on this enterprise, no luck even after following your instructions to the letter.
Let's hope Majekear sees this post and corrects the items to show up in T:ANE
Thanks anyway.

Re: Missing Dependencies
As they say a picture paints a thousand words :
kuid2:560631> BR Freight HAA Blue
(NOTE THESE INSTRUCTIONS APPLY TO THE BLUE VERSION ONLY)
The generated warnings in TANE from this vehicle :
At this stage to keep it simple don't worry about the build , the wagon will work when the error is removed .
(At some stage though in the future all content will probably require a minimum build of 2.9 or above to prevent a red error in TANE should that become activated by N3V)
The error points to a file in the art folder (file highlighted blue)
Straight away the first error is that the folder is called "haa_blue_art" where as the entry in the config file is looking for : "haa_red_art"
So to fix these problems :
Open the config file and change this line (highlighted) :
to this
Here's the entry so you can copy and paste direct :
That should remove the red error and make it useable :

Re: Missing Dependencies
The others are simpler as they are already looking for the correct art folder , Its the rest of the entry that needs altering .
The original thumbnail container in the config files looks like this :
Change it to this :

Re: Missing Dependencies
Beautifully put, Dave. I've learned a lot from seeing how you did that. Not having your technical abilities, I was very wary of removing anything that was already there - hence the decision to copy the file from elsewhere and paste it in, but thanks for the lesson on how it SHOULD be done.
