Another scenery query from me...
I use nexusdj's Mk3 catenary wires in the main but can't seem to find one which makes the transition between standard wires and the lower profile tunnel or bridge versions. I've been using the original snowsignal ones but they disappear from sight at a very short distance. Perhaps I'm not looking for the right thing or I've overlooked it but if anyone can confirm which, I'd be most grateful.
Cheers,
Innis

Re: Transition and Bridge catenary wires
I haven't come across a nexus one either, and am using the Snowsignal ones, although they look very different - far less substantial. As a workaround, I often place 2 instances of the transition spline side by side, which helps a little.
Hope that helps a bit

Re: Transition and Bridge catenary wires
I rarely use anything other than the Mk1 stuff. There's quite a bit of stuff amongst it though for various transitions including Mk1 to Mk3. It's a bit messy but I wonder if you could perhaps make a quick change, say, Mk3 to Mk1 half height and then to the bridge /tunnel wire before a sneaky change back again to Mk1 half height and back to Mk 3. Not ideal, I know, but it might be easier to hide than using the snowsignal stuff.
Other than that, your only hope is if Dave (nexusdj) takes pity on you and whips something up in double quick time.

Re: Transition and Bridge catenary wires
There's certainly no rush and I wouldn't expect Dave to produce anything special. I can make do with the snowsignal stuff, I just didn't know if there was a Mk3 one I'd missed.

Re: Transition and Bridge catenary wires
I've produced 2 50m splines , A transition spline (Standard to bridge) and a low under bridge spline .
If they are what you require then I'll get them uploaded to the DLS ?
I could go a bit lower with the upper catenary wire if the bridge height is a bit tight . In some cases they run the catenary wire alongside the contact wire (at the same height) and the pan head runs along both wires .
*** Items now available for download from DLS ***

Re: Transition and Bridge catenary wires
Indeed, these look just the ticket! Many thanks for producing them, now to swap out all the snowsignal wire with these...

Dave (the nexusdj one), while it was never my intention for you to create the transition and under bridge wire, I'd like to say a huge thanks for doing so anyway. Absolutely perfect and very much appreciated.
