To be up-to-date

Post by 7121239 »

I have been a 'Trainzer' since the original prog. but seemed to slow down in 2010...............
Despite the regular updates, I have lost the place with what is happening. If I wanted to be
up-to-date, should I upgrade from 2010, and how would I do that............or should I bite the
bullet and do a total upgrade. What should I upgrade to etc.
With a bit of advice I am sure I can appreciate what appears to be an unbelievable prog.
Cheers,
Ian.

To be "up-to-date", you should be running 'T:ane SP1 - HF4'.

But before jumping in with both feet, you should make sure your computer is up to running it.

T:ane relies more on graphics power than previous versions such as 2010 & TS12.

Welcome Ian, just added a reply on your thread on the N3V forum!

As Shane and Paul said the main thing for TANE is having a DX11 capable graphics card and a 64 bit OS.

TS12 is or was an improvement over 2010, until TS12 SP1 which added an annoying database rebuild problem, that however doesn't happen in TANE.

Thanks Malc,
Feel a wecome member here already.
Have been on the main site and noted all the replies - 'sound' information indeed.
Thanks for your input.
I intend to see what specs my system has - computer was built for my music business
and had specific requirements - suspect they will not, today, be that impressive.
Thanks once again.

Cheers,

Ian.
