Wendsey
Hi all!
After playing around with NexusDJ's brilliant Midshire Mainline and having a bash at some little route building projects, I decided I would have a go at a proper full scale route. My dream i suppose is for it to become as universally known as Midshire haha, though that is unlikely!
Anyway, I shall upload a map of where the line intends to go along with the screenshots of my progress (as soon as I make one haha)
Version 1 is still quite a way off yet (it will be the first incarnation I get to where you'll be able to naturally reverse trains at both ends)
So I give you, Wendsey, V0.4 haha!
Naturally I will release it when I reach V1, but if there is enough interest then I may release V0.5 as a sort of 'taster' to give you all a feeling of what it will be like, and to get much needed (and wanted!) feedback
V1 will also (hopefully) include my reskins of the Class 477(see here), 317 and 369 to run on it!
Many thanks for having a look,
James

Re: Wendsey
Looks good, i think you should do some mainline-ish sections on your route.

Re: Wendsey
haha thanks, That is technically the 'mainline' section (just not 4 track) as it carries the pendolino, HST and Voyager express services, and has a line speed of 110-125mph haha.fizzywizzy wrote:Looks good, i think you should do some mainline-ish sections on your route.
However if you mean a 4 track traditional mainline, you're in luck
That look like a mainline?
And a few more of the Awsworth line:

Re: Wendsey
Aha glad you like it. I've now produced a map that shows you the different sections of track so far. Note the line will continue in both directions.
this is the section I've done so far (Trackwork). I may upload it to the DLS when I finish the scenery between stations *shudder*
I do also have a video of the journey so far between Boston Junction and Wendsey, so I'll try and upload it and post the link (file is 7.6GB though )
EDIT: uploaded the preview video to youtube, check it out here:
or for the full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xgq5YJNO ... ture=g-upl
Keep an eye on my youtube account as I will try to add more preview videos as I progress

Re: Wendsey
OK, Wendsey V0.4 Preview 3 is up and running (preview 2 refuses to upload at my Grandad's, will try again when I get home):
Enjoy!
This one is a cab ride on board a class 369 showing the approach to Stonewall Vale station, the current terminus of the Awsworth line. (This train is following the green and blue sections of the above map

Re: Wendsey
ah, well there will be in the future, I plan to have 4tph along the Awsworth Branch (blue section) in either direction, and 6tph along the mainlines in stopping services, and then either 2 or 3tph fast pendolinos/voyagers to Awsworth. But setting up the session will take quite some time haha. Sound good?
A 478 on the Awsworth-Newton Ampsteade semi-fast service.
