Do you have a build number now in the bottom right corner of the start up screen and if you do what is it ?

Good good :D

Right according to the wiki 41844 is Service pack 3 so you need to go to here http://www.auran.com/servicepacks/#TS2009 (thanks Huccaby) and go down the page to the 2009 section and download and install the update from this section :

Service Pack 4
You can download the SP4 patch from the following link: • Build 41844 -> 44653

Sometimes the patcher has to run as administrator in order to work error-free. Right click on the application and click run as administrator.

As I have said (at some point) the trainz patcher is fairly unstable, so to increase your chances of a successful patch, you could have a look on the auran forums for patching guides. I seem to remember one...

A quick Google search provided a tutorial, which may be of use to you... http://trainz.shaneturner.co.uk/tutorials/index.php/home/patching-tutorial---home/stage-1-before-you-patch

You could back up all your content that's not built-in (which you dont want to lose like custom routes etc.) and then uninstall trainz from your computer .
Reboot and do a fresh clean install of trainz and then add the service packs up to service pack 4 .

Once service pack 4 is installed and working then and only then reinstall your custom content . Do not be tempted to try to install the custom content before hand as faulty content can crash a service pack update .
The service pack has to plough through your trainz set up and is really only designed to cope with the built-in files .

Personal alterations to built-in content (like changing engine sounds on a loco) can also cause a service pack to fail .

I installed Midshire months ago and all the associated dependencies. Things were fine until I opened the route yesterday to discover all the track that I haven't replaced with my own alternative, isn't showing. I get the dashed lines you normally associate with a missing spline/track. The route shows no errors or missing dependencies in CMP so what else could I be over looking here?

Thanks.

Check the track you know is missing and see if it's been declared faulty by CMP and also check to see if the track requires any dependencies ?
If it does then check those dependencies as well ?

Sadly, I can't remember what the missing track is. I'm guessing the original which did show up on the original Midshire 3 version as faulty and which I subsequentently fixed. Still no joy sadly.

What is kuid:390241:100005 as I've not got that installed on my machine so it can't be a part of Midshire . A google search brings up nothing ?

Wonder if he's made some changes to the route and that's his kuid number.
