Hii everyone :)
I have recently started a project to replicate the Crewe - Liverpool section of the WCML in the present-time. Hopefully this will be finished by early March considering I have a lot of spare time on my hands now that I finished my college course. I plan to create every single asset included from scratch, this will be very hard and I'll probably be constantly posting on the help section asking for advice lol :D. So far I have nearly finished from Acton - Bridge to Hartford, and my Asset collection is growing. Here's some pictures...

What you all think? Would anyone be interested in this?

Thanks :D

I wish you the best of luck with that, Crewe to Liverpool, not to ambitious and probably a very popular route to make, I strongly wouldn't recommend creating every asset on the route though.

Acton Bridge looks good! I wish you well with this project. However i'd agree with klambert, I wouldn't create every asset you need for the route. By all means, feel free to do so. But it will be a mammoth task. Have a look around the DLS to see if there is anything that could fit in before cracking open gmax.

Happy trainzing!
Alex

Reached the Weaver Viaduct, :D Need to fill the area with detail yet and work more on the 350, think I need to make it less tall

Try comparing it side by side with Nexusdj's 350, or squeak's 450 to see what they're like. That's often where i've found out that my mesh is too tall or too wide or something like that.

The viaduct looks good though. can I ask what track you're using here?

Just to help regarding vehicle heights and dimensions, I don't know if this image is of any use to you:
Image
The height of the body from Solebar to the roof would be about 7'.4". I know the loading gauge diagram looks a bit dated, but I think it's still valid for modern stock.

Loading guage is the maximum envelope which a rail vehicle can be expected to occupy, inclduing allowing for bounce over rail joints and sway in corners.

Desiros are 3.6m from Railhead to the top of the flattened bit of the roof profile, 3.765 for the curved elements over the cab front and air conditioning modules.

I believe that the height limit for a "go anywhere" loco is now only 13' 1"

I included the bit about loading gauges as I find it helps me immensely when figuring out the dimensions of rolling stock.

Loving the LM 350! You are going to be here a long time if you are making everything from scratch. Wish you the best of luck! :)
