I know it is slightly off topic but I've started to have a dabble at this SketchUp exporter thing to see if I can work out how to use it. I'm trying it out on the class 380 - if it works I may eventually release it, bearing in I have no experience at all with 3D CAD, apart from the odd use of sketchup at school.

Hi I couldn't help but notice the APT on here, is it available to use in trainz only as nexus would no from a previous topic I've wanted the APT for trainz as there is one in Crewe where I live.

If this isn't available no worries also is the class 395 available would be a great addition to my UK lot of trains again if not no problem.

Love the work you guys do with these loco's etc just wish I was able to do it but all my computer I have don't support GMAX no more sadly.

thanks in advance to whom ever gets back to this post

I would recommend downloading it. It is excellent there is nothing to stop you from downloading I have left my computer on to download things you could do that save the usual frustrating wait :lol:

The APT isn't complete yet , I need to build some bogie's or at least slim down the poly's on the Sketchup versions .
I'm back to working on the Duchy days route now that SP1 seems to have settled down .

thanks nexus from what i've seen of the APT so far looks excellent you credit goes to all involved it's amazing, oh and how do I contact you as like a PM nexus because if you don't mind or when you can I have a file that needs looking at from a previous topic, the tornado, I've had permission from the creator as it's payware but they said I could let someone look at it as I couldn't get it working.

Only if you can look at it though I don't wanna push it.

Thanks

@nexus

I do have photo's of named class 395's, general javelin photo's and some (rough) class 375 sounds.

Is any of this going to be useful?

BTW the named javelins have signatures of the olympian/paralympian on them, and I have got a few pictures of about 3.

@ Warspite : Yes very interested in some additional textures and sounds for the 395 , thanks .

@Shaunswoggle : Some detailed side on shots of the bogie's would be great thanks .

Not sure though when I'll be back working on these projects due to my current commitments .

Duchy Days : Service pack 1 broke a lot of the mainline by reversing signals , Aws ramps and speed signs in certain areas . Simply caused by the mainline track not being laid in the correct direction for the trains that travel over it (but not a problem before SP1) . All the track has now been relayed in the correct direction of travel and I've taken the opportunity to lay different styles of concrete sleepers along the mainline to add more variety . I'm currently replacing the signalling in the affected areas and then it's the long process to add AWS ramps and set up the ATLS level crossings in the correct order . Luckily I'd taken the time to draw a schematic with the crossing numbers marked on it when I set them up the first time ;)
