WARNING - Peterdhicks Class 222
Do not upload updated versions
Someone has uploaded some updates of Peter Hicks class 222 in East Midlands Trains livery but they've done it wrong. When you place it in surveyor it won't allow you to add passengers or change the unit numbers.

Re: WARNING - Peterdhicks Class 222
Ah yes I see what you mean. Just noticed, after searching for "East Midlands", the date on the Peter Hicks' ones says 16th March 2014. That is strange though, I wasn't aware Peter was still using Trainz

Re: WARNING - Peterdhicks Class 222
It's likely to be a DLS Cleanup 'foulup' repair.

Re: WARNING - Peterdhicks Class 222
Ahh cheers Shane
If this helps, I do remember a time when I tried updating my drivers on here and the colours failed spectacularly, by opening all my assets for edit and then commiting them again. I found a lot of the script files had been deleted for many things, such as the AJS script...anyway, I found when loading Peter Hicks' 222 that the windscreen wipers would run all the time, all head and tail lights would be on permanently and I couldn't open the doors. I wonder if the original script file from the train has been accidentally removed in the clean up?

It's either that, or an attachment point problem.

Re: WARNING - Peterdhicks Class 222
Peter is currently nowhere to be found , We have tried on numerous occasions to contact him but we get no reply . At one stage I assumed that the Peter Hicks who ran the Open train times site was one and the same but an email to him proved otherwise .
I was the one who recently fixed Peter's DBSO's that have since reappeared on the DLS .
In regards to the 222 , I was looking at possibly repairing them (based on my documented Fix which is posted on here and on the Auran forum) but I was beaten to it by somebody who once again as in the case of Eldavo's content hasn't a flaming clue on how to fix content . N3V will know who has uploaded this and as such should consider banning the person involved from the clean up site before they break anything else !!!!
The trouble is once something is deemed repaired then N3V wont allow anything to be altered without the consent of the original author , which in Peter's case he cant be found anywhere . So unless N3V have a change of policy then these are broke until Peter returns , if he returns !!
Here's my original post to fix the original problem with the 222's (Note this probably wont fix the DLS repaired versions)

Nexusdj wrote:Looking over the Midland Mainline version I notice that the trailing vehicles are set up as vehicle (isclass Vehicle) in the script files when they should set up as "Locomotive" as the engine tag is set at 1 in the config files.
I'll re-tag the other scripts files and see if it works .....
EDIT : It solves the problem .
When I placed the driving cars in surveyor the wipers animation was active but in driver they worked fine . Lighting works and unit can be issued commands and be driven manually in both directions .
So to solve the problem you need to open up the non driving cars for edit (the ones without cabs !! )
Find the script file "Class222.gs"
Select it , copy and then paste it somewhere else just in case you get the following steps wrong !!
open up the script file
find the entry :
class class222 isclass Vehicle
and change it to :
class class222 isclass Locomotive
Make sure you use a capital "L" for Locomotive .
Click top left : File then save then exit .
Commit vehicle in CMP and see if it flags up any red errors .
If it does then you've done it wrong go back and replace file with copied version and try again .
If not then it should be flagged yellow in TS12 for build being less than 2.7 but it will still work .

The trouble is, N3v will insist on doing begger all until the original author contacts them, so it willNexusdj wrote:N3V will know who has uploaded this and as such should consider banning the person involved from the clean up site before they break anything else !!!!

Re: WARNING - Peterdhicks Class 222
You can see who has claimed items on the list before they are uploaded, tedious however if you put in the user id you can call up anyones assets in the list.
Putting in Peters user ID in the search box at the DLS Cleanup, there are these items also for repair, not yet claimed, perhaps some one who knows what they are doing should claim them for repair quick? Note 222 by the way.
<KUID2:116035:156822:1> Class 156 destinations
<KUID2:1160351> Midland Mainline Class 222 Nameplates
<KUID2:1160351> East Midlands 222 MSO Mainline livery East Midlands Trains Class 222 Meridian MSO in rebranded Midland Mainline livery. Numbered 222001...
The User ID search is probably a quick way of ensuring none of your own items have got in the list or possibly who is messing with them, bearing in mind N3V emails sometimes never appear!

Re: WARNING - Peterdhicks Class 222
Better they be done now than left to be claimed by the mystery destroyer
The 222 MSO needed the script sorting , the Art icon was the wrong size 128x65 , plus it was missing it's .txt file .
The Central destinations had one of the Lichfield entries spelt wrong though Peter has spelt them all "Litchfield" (No T in Lichfield)
The Midland Mainline nameplates had a .txt file with "-copy" in it's name .
There is a lot of UK content in that list and just doing a search with the word "Class" throws up content from :
Pacificseven , 46035 , Pikkabird , Wessex_Electric_Nutter , Domsarto , Skipper1945 , Honeymonster1971 , Colin Holt and even myself (Though my faulty content needs rebuilding and I can always upload a higher kuid2 should it be repaired beforehand ) and that's just the first few pages !!

Re: WARNING - Peterdhicks Class 222
The user involved has now identified himself over on the N3V forums (PEV).
By the looks of things, a script inheritance misunderstanding was the cause of the problematic fix.
