I stumbled across this video of a cab ride on a 73/9. Obviously, as video it's not ideal, but it does give a couple of close-up shots of the control desk. Alas, despite being in the secondman's seat, the camera operator never quite zooms out enough to see what's over that side.klambert wrote:If anyone else can find anymore images it would be greatly appreciated.

Oooh. I'd love to see a 73/9. Finally I could banish EWS Red and Gold from Nexusdj's Serco Caledonian Sleeper set.

Re: Class 73 project
In case people have forgotten, this project is still going on but has now taken a place in the background whilst I get the 319s sorted, anyway this is my latest release.
To fill the gap between BR Green/Electric Blue and BR standard Blue with TOPs numbers, this model represents the condition of the Class 73s after they were repainted from BR Green/Electric Blue into BR standard blue. The livery in this form lasted from 1967 until 1973 when TOPs numbers were applied and the double arrow logo moved further down the bodyside.

I regret to announce, this release may possibly be the last Class 73 reskin I will release (for a while at least). I've unfortunately had to cut this project short due to a number of reasons, firstly with the switch over to TANE, and the need for models with LOD meshes, releasing reskins of older meshes will be very difficult.
Secondly I've recently started working full time and I no longer have the time to pursue Trainz as much as I used to, so I've had to cut down on the number of projects I'm engaged with. I'm also currently restricted to using a 7 year old laptop (hence the less than impressive screenshot quality), due to where I've moved to not having the space for my desktop PC and at the moment I don't have the funds for a brand new laptop.

Re: Class 73 project
Many thanks for these Karl. Your hard work is much appreciated.
Unfortunately, the pressures of the real world force us all away from our hobbies at times, unless you happen to be retired like a lucky few of us that is. We have plenty of time but often lack the energy lol. However, I would much rather be your age again (but knowing what I know now of course .) Oh what fun that could be...
Good luck in your new job, Karl, and thanks again.
Dave

Re: Class 73 project
I'm sorry for bumping the thread, but who do I need permission from if I want to reskin one of the Klambert 73's? Just Strings? Or just Klambert? Or from both? And I wonder the same about the GatEx coaches? again I'm sorry for bumping the thread but I'm considering to try and look if I could go on where Klambert left and fill some little gaps (I just love the '73s so it's a given really :p )

You'll want permission from Strings really, if you look in the config of one of his Class 73s you'll find his email.RinseDC wrote:I'm sorry for bumping the thread, but who do I need permission from if I want to reskin one of the Klambert 73's?
