I put the Class 489s up on 'Mytrainz' for approval, but that was over two days ago, normally the approval process only takes 24 hours, does anyone know if there's any issues with the N3V servers?

Possibly altering the DLS to accept build 3.5 content again.

Correct except they reverted the uploads to 3.5 and broke it! They are currently trying to find out what went wrong.

Hmm, becuase it looks like the updates for thre 73s didn't upload either, which was to backdate them to version 3.5. Probably best if I leave things for a while before I try another upload.

I've received a lot of correspondence via email and PM to do with this project, just to let people know I won't be releasing anymore stuff for about three weeks as I'm going to be down south seeing the family, getting some third rail mileage in as well and hopefully finding some real 73s.

This means the update for the current GBRF 73s and the release of the 489s will be put on hold, as well as a few other bits and pieces I'm working on.

I should still be able to reply to any correspondence, but it may take me a but longer than usual.

Been working on this for the past month, hence why I haven't posted much else on here as I haven't had much time. This is still a little way off completion though.

The cab is now nearing completion, some of the textures are still a bit rough though.
This will be added to the existing GBRF Class 73s through an update.

Quiz of the day, which power handle is currently in notch 7?
Clue: Class 73s had two power handles depending on whether they're operating in diesel or electric mode.

Never had any experience up the front of a 73 but I'd say given the usual position of BR train cab power controllers that its the lower of the 2 so more than likely running on diesel ?

Cab looks superb , Could well be the catalyst for a whole host of new third rail routes ;)

Yes it's running Diesel although I imagine the track was a bit a giveaway due to the absence of a third rail.

I hope it 'sparks' a load of third routes in trainz too as we do have a shortage.

The Gatwick Express liveried Class 489s have been completed, as can be seen they incorporate headcodes that change according to their direction and Eldavos numberit script for random numbering. It'll be a little while before they're uploaded though as the rest of the GATEX set requires some tweaks.

The cab and the update for my existing Class 73s to incorporate the new cab interior has been uploaded. The Class 73 Update has also fixed the issue of the missing kuid on the electric mode versions and some minor texturing tweaks.

The new Class 73 Cab interior:
