Re: 16/11 - November 2016 Screenshots

Here are the simple requirements which were originally set down by Tony and myself in regard to the Class 158 on Wednesday, February 06, 2013.
If you cannot follow them then please do not upload to DLS and do NOT make available by any other means.

There have been a few enquiries about reskinning so our requirements
are:

RESKINS:

NO fictional reskins, and NO screenshots posted of fictional reskins.

Any reskins are to be the same quality or higher quality than the
textures made for the original ScotRail release. We both feel that so
much work has gone into raising the bar on quality and detail in this
new class 158 that we want to ensure any reskins have the same amount
of quality or higher.

The main texture is tmz06003's ScotRail texture used for the original
class 158, but is doubled in size. When doubling any texture like this
you get blurring, this has been corrected on the ScotRail texture and
we would ask that this is done on any reskins to ensure the same
quality.

The high res details such as door controls, seat coverings, the
destinations, nameplates etc. all need to be altered to suit any
reskins, we don't want to see Northern livery with ScotRail
destinations! We would expect equally high res textures to be used for
any of these altered details. Research properly first, then reskin.

So get out there photting your local TOC class 158, even if you are not
reskinning you may be able to provide phototextures to someone else who
wants to reskin it.

MESH:

On other TOC class 158s there are detail differences such as roof vent,
number positions etc. We would expect that any reskins are properly
researched (as we have done) and details like this altered to suit the
reskins. The mesh will be made available through the British Trainz
content creator area for serious creators only.

We will make minor mesh changes for certain liveries of our choice but
would prefer if others took on the projects as we don't want to be
bogged down with hundreds of mesh alteration requests, when most of the
reskins may never get finished. So reskin first and complete it as far
as you can go, then ask second. We reserve the right to choose which
reskins we will support. Dazzle us with a fantastic reskin and tons of
research and you are most likely to get that support.

We will post some helpful notes on exporting the mesh once you have
altered it, as there are certain bits of mesh that you need to hide or
temporarily delete before exporting the main mesh eg. the doors.

Some creators and reskinners of our choice will be allowed unrestricted
access to reskins and mesh, we will let you know when you contact us.
Others will have to show screenshots for approval before release. We
reserve the right to choose exactly who and our decision is final on
this, what gets released and what doesn't.

Leave the original Express livery to Domsarto and tmz06003, we will be
doing a centre car so this is the best livery to release a 3 car set
for us.

Regards,

Dominic and Tony.
