Hi,
I want to use Class 313's on my North London Line, and intend to use them in 3rd-rail mode with pantograph lowered, but I cannot keep the pantograph from raising when they are active.
Any suggestions?
(I'm running Trainz 2009 (Build 38869))

Set their pantograph state to 2 ("rear pantograph"), which satisfies the AI's need to have a pantograph raised, but lowers the "front" (only) pantograph. There are several driver commands that do this on the DLS; the one I prefer is <KUID2:178892:80004:1>, "Pantograph State".dave55007 wrote:I want to use Class 313's on my North London Line, and intend to use them in 3rd-rail mode with pantograph lowered, but I cannot keep the pantograph from raising when they are active.

I'll give that a try ScottAS2. Where do I set the pantograph state? Not seen that option before. And is it possible to do with consists emerging from portals?

I also use PantographState <kuid2:178892:80004:1>. There should also be a version built into Trainz since (I believe) TS2009.
It allows you to select which pantograph to use either immediately or insert the command into the train's schedule. You access these options by using the driver commands window (where you put in "navigate to" commands etc. If it doesn't appear, you might have to enable it for that session by going into "Edit session rules" (the paper icon in the top left on TS12) -> Driver commands and making sure it is ticked. I use it on my City of Hayden route to change Citylink trains over from AC to DC power at Hayden Hill.

Thank you both for your advice. I have downloaded the Pantograph State command and installed it and it is working excellently.
