Hi folks.

I will admit, the models look great. I'd be more than likely to donate money for the beautiful work you're doing, greeni. Looking forward to running the Flying Scotsman service with the coaches.

However, I do have prototype questions about the MK2 & MK2a. What flavors did they come in? Were there FO's, SO's, and such? And what skins did they wear? I recognize the fact that the original builds were in maroon and braked with vacuum when introduced to traffic on the Eastern Region, but other than that, I have no clue. As well, were they used outside of the Eastern Region? One would think so, due to the nature of BR, but I'm open to being corrected.

Hello there, in answer your questions, the Mk2 and Mk2a were generally built as follows:

Std: TSO, SO, BSO
1st: FK, BFK

All BR regions received Mk2 FKs in maroon, except the SR which were green.

If I recall correctly, the Mk2s went to the LMR after electrification and were in blue and grey. The Mk2a were dual braked from the start and went into service on the ER, the WR and the LMR.

A Mk2 FO wasn't seen until the Mk2c was introduced.

Hello everyone, I was wondering if there have been any updates on this project recently? Looked like it was coming along nicely but there haven't been any updates for about a year now.
This train has been delayed due to a high number of polys.

Not yet. They're under development.

Creators often switch between projects to stop boredom kicking in when working on the same items constantly - so I'm sure that when Gary wants a break from something else, he'll switch back at some point. It's up to him if / when he chooses to do so - so in the meantime, enjoy all the other content that is out there.

Nice to hear you are making them TS12. As for the coupling scripts how come you do not use ACS? It features loads of extra goodies like working gangways and electrical cables. Take a look at Peterdhicks' aircon Mk2s as an example. ACS has lots of potential yet I never see developers apply the system to their stock. As for compatability between the two systems I wrote this guide explaing how to get ACS and Couplestar vehicles working nicely with eachother. viewtopic.php?f=55&t=4153
