A very nostalgic look back at the late 1950's when DMU's were new. By the time I was trained on them (early 1980's) they were well past their hey dey but the fitters did an amazing job at keeping them serviceable and on the road. They were beautiful to drive though and, despite cursing them a million times in days gone by, I have a very big soft spot for them and actually miss them dearly now.
...and the Health & Safety Executive would have a fit if they saw all these men working on the railway without all of the high visibility stuff they make you wear nowadays
