For anyone interested in track infrastructure work, Winchburgh tunnel (on the Edinburgh to Glasgow Queen Street line) is due to close this Saturday (13 June) until 27 July to enable engineers to lower the track level sufficiently to allow installation of OHLE.
Looking at the Scotrail website, one of the diversionary routes uses the Winchburgh/Kirkliston loop and Fife line with a reverse at Dalmeny. I've travelled this diversion a few times in the past and it is an interesting trip, passing the old Royal Navy store, Royal Elizabeth Yard, which was rail linked in the past.
