A quick look at this short film shows you how things have progressed on the North London Line. Sadly, Broad Street has been lost, along with Shoreditch, but things look quite bright for the rest of it. Take note of the cost of a return ticket from Broad Street to Richmond in 1981 - purchased by the reporter - just 95p. Yes, 95p. An Open Return nowadays from Dalston Junction (as close as you can get nowadays to the old Broad Street station) to Richmond is anything from £9.80 to £12.30, depending on when you travel. Amazing difference.
Cheers
Dave

Yes, it's amazing the turn around of this railway line in recent years. As for the price don't forget it is 36 years ago now.
Work to live not live to work.
