Junction creation failure

Post by Mark »

Despite having checked the box in surveyor options I can no longer create junctions simply by leading new track to or away from old. Is there a way of doing it manually?

Do you mean that the lever doesn't appear, or does it physically make a junction?
Please, call me Alex.

The track appears to join and shows a spline point, but I don't get a junction lever or a red green arrow/title/number.

In that case you need to put down a point motor, they can be found in the track objects tab. search for "point" and you should come up with one.

I've had this happen before, the junction lever is missing.

Check the config.txt file for the Region associated with your route, it should have something like this in it:

Code: Select all

defaultjunction <kuid:101839:20002>
The Kuid No might be different in your file, but the line needs to be there for levers to appear when the junction is created.

If the entry or Kuid No are missing from your config file give the one above a try.

Thanks this seems to work. On this issue are there track-side pieces for points control before the electronic era? I've looked round the DLS and can't see anything obvious.

Hi

Search the DLS for creator glassblow who has some really good content including point rodding and angle pieces.
