Help needed

Post by Aunty Acid »

I have this problem with trainz - When I tried opening trainz recently, nothing happened. Literally nothing. can somebody please help because I have 1½ years work on there, so uninstalling is a last resort for me.

Have you tried opening trainz directly, rather than with laucher? It'll be in program files/auran/ts2009/bin/trainz.exe

If that does nothing, in the same folder run TrainzDiag.exe and post results here

Also, run a dxdiag report and post it here.

Surely the line that states ...........
Video Driver's Age : 17 months old -Update : Warning
gives you something to work on, sort that, then do another dxdiag.
That will at least eliminate one possible problem.

Thanks for the heads up. This will probably work because I have had a new Graphics card installed recently, so that is probably a good pointer.

mine was OVER 17... by the way... I've updated the driver now so it should be fine. As I said, I'll check again tonight. My friend needs the Expansion Drive that trainz is on for a Big Draw event, so trainz is down for another 1½ hours. Melodramatic me

Hi guys, sorry I haven't posted in a while due to a sinus infection thing. I've uninstalled trainz 2009, and I should be either reinstalling it from another computer or get trainz 2010/12 for christmas.
