Hi all,
I'm Gavan. I bought Trainz 12 back in June or thereabouts. Found the DLS part pretty frustrating. Most frustrating community based sim I've ever played! But I'm a tenacious bugger. I'm hoping there is a 'wall' that I'll break through soon after which play time will exceed download time. Hopefully, adopting a specific focus to my trainz involvement will help.
Spent the last 5 months travelling around Europe, some of it on trains. No Trainz though, and I got a hankering.... I've signed up here because in my mind's eye, railways are quintessentially English (don't tell the French!), But not just English; steam powered, red brick, 'tween the wars, middle class, home counties England. It's a consequence of distance and too much Enid Blyton as a kid!
I've been lurking on the site for the last couple of months. No trainz details with me while I was on hols... Back home now so I've signed up. I hope to be a contributor rather than just a consumer. That may generate a few questions so persevere with me as I get up to speed.
thanks for your attention,
Gavan
