GCR v10 and Somerset & Dorset

Post by flyhighmike »

Hi - I am Mike and interested in the site as I have just bought TANE.

I live in West Northamptonshire, am an ex-signalman and therefore interested in operating routes rather than the rolling stock and I am fascinated by the GCR and S&D as I missed the opportunity to visit either of them by about 10 years.

Both GCR v10 and Somerset & Dorset are excellent routes and I am amazed at the level of detail and the time it must have taken to pt them together - brilliant.

So as a a newby I do have a few questions:-

1) - Is there anyone out there who is administering/modifying these routes?
2) - Are there any scenarios available for the routes?
3) - Does anyone have access to WTT around the end of the 1950's early 1960's?
4) - Are there any routes that cover the West Coast Mainline or Midland Mainline through the Midlands?
5) - Any good tutorials on getting signals to operate properly?

Many thanks in anticipation of an answer or two.

Hi Mike and welcome to the forums. I'll leave it to the more informed around here to answer your questions as I spend most of my time building routes (often not completing them before something else takes my interest) so I wouldn't be best qualified to give you the answers you seek.

I will say though that T:ANE is a whole world of entertainment and once you're bitten by the bug it often takes something pretty special to drag you away from it.

Good luck
