Hi it's James!

Post by Mightyena »

Hi there, I'm James from London, I guess some of you will have seen some of my screenshots in the screenshots thread, but I thought I'd properly introduce myself.
I'm 16, and fairly new to trainz, having got TS12 for my birthday in May, and have already tried my hand in route building and a little re-skinning :) . I love UK Modern Era routes and stock (something that seems to be quite rare haha!) and I hope to create a decent fictional route (complete with it's own fictional company!), but that might be a while off yet! :|

Welcome to the forums James :)
I have seen some of your shots, and they are very impressive! It also appears you have a bit of a natural talent for reskinning, they look very good! XD

Aha thank you! I was hoping to have made some progress on my route this week but I spent most of it reinstalling windows on my desktop again  so I only have my underpowered laptop for Trainzing, and I only get about 18fps on it, 6 if there's a speedtree nearby... :( so I've been working on a 'Laptop friendly' route (that still lags something awful!) and my reskins while I wait. I should get around to uploading them to the DLS when my route is finished if anyone's interested.

Thank you everyone that replied! Shows how well this has become a friendly, helpful community that I'm glad to have become a part of :)
I'm glad so many of you like my shots, I guess when I get a new graphics card (currently using a Radeon 6450 that's not really up to much) I can get some route building done and release it to the DLS.
(well, I am still working on my laptop friendly route, but my laptop seems to have something against running trainz these days  so there aren't many screenies lately. I guess that's what you get for buying cheap rubbish I guess haha)
