Re: open bve
I already use it, have done since about 2009! It's a shame the community seems to be a little... fragile at the moment, it has great promise! Before I got Trainz I was working on a class 377 external for it.

Re: open bve
Got it installed though I dont use it much .
"Fragile" I'm afraid it's happening with every Sim , Too many people believing that other folks content (once it's on the net) is theirs to do whatever with . Anything with the tag "open" seems to suffer even more .
The "something for nothing generation" !

Re: open bve
Also got it, afraid doesn't do anything much for me, route building is an abomination even with that weird route builder thing and as for CSV you can forget that.
Fragile? more like fragmenting, after loosing the lead programmer and website to boot it's beginning to look like yet another unfinished project.

Re: open bve
Indeed, when TSC closed down it was a while (and a pain to get NWM back as I lost it in an HDD crash around that time!) before someone tried to resurrect the community, and it seemed to be going quite well, until as you say, the lead developer stopped developing. Shame, it was a really good piece of free fun, and better still, my 2003 Dell latitude will run it at 30fps!clam1952 wrote:Also got it, afraid doesn't do anything much for me, route building is an abomination even with that weird route builder thing and as for CSV you can forget that.

I used it, the sim is good but IMHO the community killed it, sadly.

Re: open bve
True. I do still use it from time to time, in fact i created a class 377 from a 168 mesh. Not sure if I can do anything with it though. I just play OpenBVE when Trainz has thrown a wobbly and I'm waiting for it to download/EDR...nx4737 wrote:I used it, the sim is good but IMHO the community killed it, sadly.
