RIP Robin Williams

Post by PacerNut »

I just thought I would create a thread in tribute to an acting and comedy hero of mine, and I'm sure many other people too. Sadly, Robin Williams has been suffering with depression for many years since his parents died, and very recently passed on. I won't go into detail as I know there are youngsters on here.

I feel unbelievably sad that he has gone. I was hoping it was a nightmare, or a hoax. He shaped my childhood, and I connected with him on a very personal level relating to his performance as Mrs Doubtfire.

I spent all last night and most of today crying, sustained on only two hours asleep, but at least now we know he is finally happy and he can visit Ork anytime.

Take care of yourself Robin, and thank you for 40 years of comedy.

Indeed he will be missed. It's always sad to hear of someone passing, and always worse when depression is the cause.

Isn't it ironic that so many of these famous people, who chose a career of making us all laugh, were falling apart inside while we were laughing at their antics. There's a long, long list of them if you look back over the years. It seems it's a very high price that is payable for comic genius.

Yes, the passing of yet another comedy great. Always remember watching him in Mork & Mindy and one of my all time greatest films Good Morning Vietnam. My heartfelt condolences go out to his wife and children.
Depression is sometimes a hard thing to notice at the best of times and something i suffered from quite bad a few years ago. My savour was a change of job.

R.I.P. Robin Williams.

Yes, Robin will be sadly missed.

I remember waking up on the first day of a holiday in Ho Chi Minh City some years ago & shouting "Good Morning........Vietnam" out of the window. I just HAD to do it.
