I have just seen this posted in another thread, and it worries me so:
I do not know whether this applies to your query or not though.Warbo40 wrote:The reason i say this is because i got some very disappointing news the other day from another content creator which i won't reveal on here as it isn't my place to repeat it. Re: Wheres Greeni?
I don't think that's Greeni, he probably would of told me of his intentions of quitting trainz for good.Class172 wrote:I have just seen this posted in another thread, and it worries me so:

Re: Wheres Greeni?
although in the n3v newsletter topic he did seem quite annoyed and fed up with some parts of trainz do not know whether this will help or maybe he is very busy and doesn't have any time at the moment if it comes to the worst he may not be well which might explain it?

Re: Wheres Greeni?
I have had a word with Gary and he says he hasn't specifically left Trainz altogether but be has stopped creating content - he puts it down to too many gimmie pigs but more specifically to several users, whose names I shall not say.
Hope this clears everything up.

Re: Wheres Greeni?
Comments like that do nothing but stir up the rumour mill and should be left out of the public domain , You as a moderator are here to set a president , No good expecting others to conform when your stoking idle gossip !!73129 wrote: but more specifically to several users, whose names I shall not say.
What ever beef Gary has with folks then it's up to him to name and shame if he wishes , not for you to know and parade around like a little kid "I know something that you dont know" !!!
Childish behaviour !!

Re: Wheres Greeni?
But there is no president in UK !
I don't regard 73129's comments as "stoking idle gossip". The 'usual suspects' are well known and if anyone needs to grow up it is them. Having been on the receiving end of this sort of thing recently I completely understand Gary's reaction.

Re: Wheres Greeni?
It doesnt work like that , Either he has to inform the users on here who the culprits are or he doesnt say anything !
Now either you know who's these people are because Gary or someone close to him has actually told you or your making a judgement based on what's been going on here lately i.e 2 and 2 together equals 5 .
"The usual suspects" : It's these sorts of comments that usually lead to a witch hunt and the wrong people being implicated !!
This community needs to take a step back and have a good long hard look at itself .... It is slowly and surely tearing itself apart . Content creators are running off scared because a few newbies are asking too many questions . So what , if need be ignore them . You dont owe anybody anything this is a hobby not a job . I've lost count the amount of gimme emails I've ignored . Your not breaking any laws or rules .
The railworks guys must be laughing there heads off watching all this in-fighting and running scared from a few kids .
We all have to start somewhere and heck I remember plenty of times when I used to pester folks to release stuff in this livery and that livery , Sometimes I got my way sometimes I didnt . It was this frustration that drove me to learn how to reskin . Being told I couldnt reskin certain content then drove me to learn how to use Gmax .
We all have to start somewhere and lately there's been a mass attempt to stop all this , your driving away potential 3DS or Blender artists who could well add to community further down the track !!

Re: Wheres Greeni?
It works exactly like that. He is one of the moderators, last time I looked you weren't. The self appointed 'forum police' is one of the reasons I don't use the Auran forums anymore. It doesnt work like that , Either he has to inform the users on here who the culprits are or he doesnt say anything !
I have no problem with helping people into content creation, but I have a real problem with people who expect me to work on their project because they just can't be bothered to do anything for themselves.

I don't see the point in this continuing anymore, arguments are just bouncing around the place — I have locked the thread.
