Really really sad news. My sympathy and heart felt condolences go out to his family and friends. I know all to well what it's like to have a relative suffer from leukaemia. RIP Joe we'll miss you on here.

Many of you may well know that he had leukaemia, however, I do not wish to speculate whether this was the cause of his untimely passing.
It was Leukaemia related. He was allowed home, the Saturday before last, as the chemo he was having had failed and there was nothing more could be done for him.
Sad news indeed, Joe will be sorely missed. The enthusiasm for Trainz shown by Joe at TOTR events was a joy to behold. I had the pleasure of doing several Warley shows with him & the amount of knowledge he displayed regarding Trainz & real railways was always quite staggering.
What a tragic shame. I always liked the way Joe came across. He seemed very friendly and laid back, and despite his illness, he remained positive and still enjoyed Trainz and coming onto the forum. A lot of people give up the fight when they become ill - so it was always nice to see Joe continue to come on here.
Very sad and it puts life into perspective. Enjoy it whilst we can rather than worrying that X loco isn't available for Trainz in Y livery. It's really not that important.
