Re: K&WVR Diesel Gala 2013
Didn't go to Keighley this year as i did a railtour on the Saturday behind 2 DRS class 20's from Crewe to Swansea. I needed the 25 for haulage visiting from the NYMR but i'll get that later in the year at it's home base. Was 37264 still minus it's number and BR arrow on 1 side ? Also don't like how they've painted 37075 green but not reinstated the split headcodes at the flush end so it doesn't look right IMO.
It looks like you had a good day behind some classic traction though.

Yeah, I hadn't realised that was running from Huddersfield or I might've suggested doing the tour to the other half. That'll teach me to check more carefully, in futureWarbo40 wrote:Didn't go to Keighley this year as i did a railtour on the Saturday behind 2 DRS class 20's from Crewe to Swansea.
'278 was on my required list, as well - not anymoreI needed the 25 for haulage visiting from the NYMR but i'll get that later in the year at it's home base.
It had numbers on Friday, when I photographed it at Oakworth. It had the logo in place on Sunday, when I videoed it.Was 37264 still minus it's number and BR arrow on 1 side ?
It's a temporary feature, apparently - it'll be getting repainted into something more authentic soon. I'm told the Diesel Group are also considering putting the missing headcode boxes back on again - it was suggested that a couple were 'gas-axed' off '087, before it was cut at CF Booth. Also don't like how they've painted 37075 green but not reinstated the split headcodes at the flush end so it doesn't look right IMO.
It was a great line up - made all the better by the naming of 26038 on the SaturdayIt looks like you had a good day behind some classic traction though.
