Elmhurst Trent Valley

Post by Nexusdj »

A fictitious station (area actually exists) on the Trent valley section of the West coast mainline , situated between Lichfield and Rugeley Trent valley stations.
The tunnel is a work of fiction but I wanted a scenery break to keep the frame rates down ;)

Some mid 1980s early sectorisation action with plenty of AC electrics :

Cheers :D

All the bogie's (except the loco's) are fitted with there own bogie sound according to type .

Each bogie on a vehicle can be given it's own sound which means it's possible to add a sound of a bogie with flats to a cloned bogie and then assign this bogie to one end of a vehicle in it's config file (trainz having the ability to assign more than one bogie to each vehicle) . That vehicle will then produce the standard sound and wheel flat sound at it's respective ends once it's moving .

Track sounds apply the same sound to every vehicle unless a vehicle uses bogie's that have bogie sounds .
Bogie sounds cancel out track sounds but only in the area that surrounds that bogie , So it is possible to have a combination of both on a route to cover those vehicles which dont have bogie sounds .

***MODS : I tried to use the "YouTube" tabs in my initial post but couldn't get them to work . Would it be possible to set up the forum so we can use embedded video's from you tube ? ***

Looks and sounds fantastic. Very realistic.

Loving the bogie sounds! Makes it very authentic indeed.

Great video Dave!! :D

Apologies for another question but with the sounds, did you create most of them or are they available on the DLS?

Matt

They are a combination of home made , from the DLS and also numerous eastern European websites (mostly Polish) .

Are you likely to be putting the home made sounds on the DLS because I would love to use them to improve my Trainz experience :) Also could you provide links to the files from where they come from 3rd party sites please :)
