Route mishaps.
Some routes, e.g Woodhead Line, LMR South 1960's, and others just show up as a sky. I dont understand what is wrong, they're not faulty or anything, just not showing up.

Re: Route mishaps.
Need to save them in TS12 first and then import them.

Re: Route mishaps.
OK having done some investigation and I don't believe anything is impossible I had a look at Woodhead and cracked it!
Open the routes for edit in Explorer.
1. Open config.txt
Find the Region tag and change it to
This is the kuid for the UK
2. find the Water tag and change it to
Often blank in old routes.
3.
Delete the asset filename tag
Not needed
4. In the editing folder you have several files, for Woodhead they will be:
config.txt
Woodhead.bmk
Woodhead.gnd
woodhead.obs
woodhead.trk
Change woodhead to mapfile as in
mapfile.bmk
mapfile.gnd
mapfile.obs
mapfile.trk
Then Submit the route.
You can add a thumbnail for it by going to Manage Content, click Content at the top then automatically generate thumbnails.
Do the same for any other route that has the same problem, all route related files are now called mapfile.then the extension, saving it in TS12 would have done the renaming automatically, I learned something tonight though, there is more than one way to skin a cat!
Bad news is the Woodhead or the one I looked at isn't finished, however it is a DEM so you could finish it yourself! It's also very bright so in surveyor go to menu Edit environmental controls click one of the dots on the clock and dial the water and environment settings for Red Green and Blue back to the 12 oclock position or wear sunglasses!

Re: Route mishaps.
Should be fairly obvious that I have just done it successfully and it didn't crash here otherwise I wouldn't have posted how to. I don't post fixes I haven't tested first!

Thanks for that, currently on holiday, but when I get home, I'll try and finish that route!
