Tyne And Wear Metro route very laggy in TANE

firstly takes around 15 minutes loading time (if you don't click anywhere)
secondly clicking while loading hangs TANE (PC power button is the only way to exit)
thirdly if it does load almost any action will hang TANE ^^^^^
any fixes????
