Nifty little program available from the Beckenham and West Wickham Model Railway Club website for producing your own brick textures / papers .
http://www.bwwmrc.co.uk/bricks/
Designed for producing brick papers for model railway use the program comes with a copy function so that your finished brick design can be easily pasted into your graphics program and can be used with your trainz content .
Any colour of brickwork/mortar can be produced and the program subtly randomises the brick colours so that your not stuck with a repeating pattern
The program can also produce a matching circle or different styles of archways .
The finished texture comes out at 3450 x 2400 pixels .
Download the zipped windows executable file .
Unzip it to a new folder or your desktop .
Double click the .exe to run the program .
program runs separately in its own window .

For a much more comprehensive range of brick paper try http://www.paperbrick.co.uk/. Trouble is nether of these do an option for weathered brickwork, only nice clean stuff. To get a decent texture you would have to print it, weather it and then scan it again - ho hum.

Re: Make your own brick textures program
Very interesting websites. For the Paperbrick site, I suggest generating the pdf then open in Acrobat, then Edit - copy file to clipboard; then paste into your photoeditor for further manipulation and output as a jpeg or tga etc.
Does anyone have info on sites where you can obtain textures like doors, windows and other building accessories?

Plus use Googles Image search, often turns up loads of stuff, just check any copyright issues before using.
