trainz won't open

Hi all.
I have recently reinstalled my version of trainz 2006 (build 2.6) and now it won't open at all. the launcher screen won't even show.
If anyone out there can help I would be eternally grateful.

I used to get that on my old laptop, i used to just have to wait until it felt like working again never did find out the reason.

I had this problem with 2010 (& I've just bought 2012) Open up your Task Manager (Right-click on taskbar and click on Start Task Manager) and go to Processes and see if either trainz and/or TADDaemon.exe are running and if you find them click on it and click on End Process button and then try to run trainz again. If not then it might be a problem with the trainz files and you may have to reinstall or do a repair.

Hi,

Seem to remember having this problem yonks ago when I had a PC repair and reinstalled 2006 (which I still use). That would'nt open after.

Try going into the main Trainz files and do the diagnostic check, thats what i did and it highlighted a fault with one of the drivers or paths.

if one of your drivers are under 21 mouths old you may need a update for that driver
