A few changes

Post by Marky7890 »

Good Afternoon everyone,

After various suggestions by different members of the forums, me and Class 172 have discussed a few changes that we are implementing.

Firstly I have added New support forums for newer Trainz version such as Mac, Driver, Ipod and Android.

A private content creator area is being created so that content creators can talk about projects and ask for help between each other which they may not want the entire forum to know about just yet, until it has progressed more, this will reduce the posts which some members can be annoyed by of members asking when the project will be released or what liveries it will be in, etc.

Another thing is we are introducing a Three strike policy for constant rule breakers or irritating users.

Strike 1: You will get up to 3 warning on your account.
Strike 2: You will receive a Temporary Ban (1 Month duration)
Strike 3: You will receive a 3 Month Ban or a permanent ban depending on how serious the situation.

The rules are also being looked at, too.

Lastly more reasons have been added to the report post option

We are listening to members and trying to improve things on the forum :)

Thanks everyone, and have a Merry Christmas.
Mark

The report button should be to the top-right of each post, next to the edit and delete options, and it looks like this. It has been there since the forum was set up. Image

Just a note that I view the board in 'prosilver' style (changable via the User Control Panel), and the report button is an upside down triangle next to the quote button. I would assume that despite the different look, it would be in the same place for all users.

Thank you for the changes, Mark. Whilst it seems a little bit of a shame to introduce such measures on a sour note, it is something that's somewhat inevitable as a forum grows, and changes like this are what help keeps it an enjoyable place to visit. Again, thank you for all your effort! :)

Thanks, Class172 and DavidBrown, I found it.

I am on the prosilver style and that's why I could not find it.

What will the requirement be to view and participate in the content creators restricted area?
Will you have to have produced a model or just a reskin. Or will it be a system of sponsorship for a person to allow them access?

I fully support this move in my capacity as a observer to the forum.
