From an ozzie

Post by oldfartdan »

:D Hi to all the Brits and those from afar,

my name is dan known as oldfartdan on the Australian "VicTrainz" forum, and either name will reach me.

the reason for joining this forum is because I love building routes (not much driving) and my project is to build the route from Windermere to Ararat which is located in Victoria. Whilst we have all new rolling stock, bridges, signal box's etc. we suffer badly on buildings, and as we are from a British heritage the any thing from around 1930 to 1950 would be appropriate.

I know we have old style church's and halls here - no one is making them and as I have only just started with Gmax (made a box so far) and yet have to try to build from pictures I would rather search in Britain. Google search gives me the buildings but with no experience on what ever to do to build them I will ask "all of you" for suggestions.

Auran has very little support for Australian content and the new kids on the block "N3V" supported by us are just learning.

any way I am a 66yr oldie, thus oldfartdan.
