Re: Chatham Main Line
Thanks but I should really get on with doing the rest as in a couple of weeks time I'm running away to the USA to see my family, all throughout August pretty much, so I shall try to be finished with Sittingbourne, Faversham & Teynham by then.

Re: Chatham Main Line
Well, I guess it's time to own up to what I've been doing...
Trying to get the shelters off of a 'mostly' fixable memory stick, I think I have a solution.
EDIT: Yes! I love my genius! (Managed to somehow get it working by running it through a 1 USB - 2 adapter, it somehow made it work again!
Will post screenshots shortly.

Re: Chatham Main Line
Sorry for the bump, but I would of posted the thread a lot later than Bhorton did.
Its only a small update but the S&KLR (Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway) will also be made in addition to the route. Not that we have anything to run on it though!

Re: Chatham Main Line
Ok, I have a sort of ETA on the start: Over the holiday, my laptop will be getting a service (And more RAM), and after that, Trainz will need an EDR. So, I guess about 2 weeks.

Re: Chatham Main Line
Sorry, The start of the route has been moved back, because of many reasons.
1. I get my laptop back from repairs on the 9th of November. (using my slow, old netbook at the moment).
2. Trainz will need to do an EDR.
3. I will be working slowly, because I have a new pet rabbit! He is taking up half my time at the moment.

Re: Chatham Main Line
I know this will sound somewhat brusque, but is it really necessary to provide an update everytime you're not starting this route?
It would be of more interest to those not involved in the actual building, if you were posting progress shots rather than reasons for delays. As it stands at the moment, there's a strong smell of vapourware, despite quite a bit of custom content having already been created for the route, which would be a bit of a waste.

Re: Chatham Main Line
Yes but he can't if he's on a laptop without Trainz on. Things like this happen, and I'd rather he posted reasons for not starting than abandoning it completely. I expect you'd also whinge if he didn't explain why, and stop jumping to conclusions about vaporware.

Re: Chatham Main Line
Posting about why a route isn't happening just draws attention to that fact. It doesn't mean a route is abandoned.danny109 wrote:...snip I'd rather he posted reasons for not starting than abandoning it completely.
"Expect" what you will; I couldn't care less if there was no explanation. I think I'll decide what conclusions I make thanks.danny109 wrote:I expect you'd also whinge if he didn't explain why, and stop jumping to conclusions about vaporware.

Re: Chatham Main Line
Well, I guess it is time too express my utter disappointment in PC World. They did not fix the main issue, (the intermittent charging), and so I had to send it back. I got the news that I would get my laptop back on the 30TH OF NOVEMBER. I am hoping that the fact that it was recently in will speed up the process, but at the moment, I am not expecting a start until January 2014, with room for an earlier start date. The more RAM was not installed, because November is a month where EVERYTHING went wrong. My dad's car had a major failure, so money has been tight. I apologize for this rant, but I am not in the best of moods at the moment.

Re: Chatham Main Line
UPDATE TIME!
The route is starting to take shape! the track-work between Sittingbourne and Kemsley is at an acceptable state. The buildings have taken a major step back, as in December, WarspiteWorks had a major hard-drive failure, and his computer blue-screened. We are hopeing to recover some of the content, as the temp-storage memory stick also failed. So, things are going slowly, but surely. (I would have started this in the February holidays, but I was up in Shildon.)
Pictures to follow.

Re: Chatham Main Line
I'm glad to say that most of the buildings (if not all, If I search hard enough) have been recovered, however I'm exploring other ways of creating the buildings as sketchup (Phototexturing).
