Re: Member introduction thread
Hi All,
I have just registered on this site but have been a member/user of Trainz for about ten years.
I was born in Scotland where I started an apprenticeship with British Rail soon after the nationalisation
but interrupted it to immigrate to New Zealand.
Worked in the engineering trade in one form or another all my working life but now retired.
Have done a reasonable amount of steam engine engineering and maintenance mainly in a volunteer capacity.
Only interested in Steam in Trainz, no interest whatever in diesels or electrics.
Cheers,
Bill69

Re: Member introduction thread
Good morning and Seasons Greetings!
I'm Vern from the N3V forum, formerly BigVern at UKTS and NorthernWarrior at Trainsim.com.
Having lurked on these boards for a while I've been impressed by the mature and sensible nature of the conversations and discussions and thought it time I dipped my toe in the water, so to speak.
As some of you will know, I've been around the train sim scene for many years, even pre-dating the arrival of the new graphical sims in the early 2000's, (who remembers "Simudrive"?!).
My primary interest is in building routes, specialising in the obscure or bringing back to life long forgotten branch lines. 2014 has been a bit of a fallow year for me with just three small Trainz (TS12) routes, one RW route (and that was a prototype scaled up version of a miniature railway) and an abject list of failed and abandoned projects. Hoping 2015 will be rather more productive.
