La France en Trains closing 31st March

Post by Nexusdj »

Info via a thread posted on the Auran forum in the French language area that the La France en trains website is closing on the 31st March .
http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthre ... est-fini-!

* For those unaware this is a French Trainz payware site which has been running since the early days of Trainz .
Mostly french outline payware models but they do have a UK class 66 for sale .

I'm tempted but for one thing, it doesn't appear to have working lights. I can't see anything in the accompanying literature that suggests otherwise.

Pay money for a shed? You must be joking. ;-)

Seriously, though, it'll be a shame to see them go. Their TGVs were generally very good, and while it seems they've struggled to keep everything up to date (I presume this must have been an influence on the decision to close) losing such a wide catalogue will be a big loss for the French community in particular. C'est la vie, I suppose.
