Post by RedDragon »

Could anyone please tell me why i have box frames in a payware route. Which i guess denote missing assets.

I really don't know why i re-installed this rubbish.

No idea, not something I've ever seen in my installed Tane build 84204, so must be something you have done wrong.
Have you checked for missing dep's, 'open for edit' items etc. in content manager?

Yup done all that, thank you.

Nothing missing, S&C installed as DLC from within game.

It was bad enough having to pay for it again to use in TANE, without it being faulty.

Rant over.

Best wishes,
Mike.

Well it's not faulty as a product, I have S&C myself and it runs perfectly fine, there has to be something wrong at your end
Have you done a 'Quick' database repair?

Could be stuff in open for edit that just needs reverting to original? Seem to recollect I had to do that with the TANE version of SnC.
Those red boxes / placeholders? N3V are due to complaints, adding a turn them off option in the next beta build.
Cheers

I wouldn't bother anymore Malc, they've obviously decided to blame their ineptness on the sim, instead of looking at what they could have wrong.
Folk who can't be bothered don't deserve help, if we can all have it running right, it's them that can't use a computer, they're better off sticking to a bat & ball.

They also can't read the rules on picture sizes.

For YOUR information, this "wet behind the ears kid" is 63 years old, so wind your bloody neck in.

I have also been using Trainz since 2004, so not unaccustomed to the vagaries of Trainz.
I have Tane build 84204 & S&C running in windows 10 pro, there are no faults like you describe, so check your
bloody set up, if you can't get that right, it doesn't say much for your beta testing skills.

Can I politely ask that we don't start making personal attacks upon one another on the forum.

Something that may help here is what's known as an extended database repair. If the problem isn't at the download server end then that should sort it out.

The details on how to do this are at https://support.trainzportal.com/index. ... ase-repair.

Yup i know about the extended data base repair, thank you.

I think i know what they are now. Possibly the pre-SpeedTree, Treez DLC that was used in the original S&C release.

The boxes only appear if the Advanced settings for content developers + Show missing assets option is ticked.
