Retrieving files from corrupt HDD

Post by Pmikeyandhiskfc »

Hi all

I recently upgraded PC's and its a good job I did because the HDD on my old PC went corrupt just 2 days after switching!

Most files were backed up, but have lost a lot of payware content such as eldavo's class 92 and peterdhick's Class 170.

Obviously, I could just buy the Class 92 again, but as for the Class 170, it does indeed seem lost which is a massive blow. Plus a few older routes. :(

Does anyone know a way to get files from a corrupt drive?

Thanks in advance,
Liam (PMikeyAndHisKFC)

How badly corrupted is it? You may be able to plug in into your current PC as a additional drive to get the files.

I've plugged in via a USB-SATA cable and it appears in the Windows Disk Management but just says "corrupt" and unfortunately doesn't let me do anything with it other than delete it entirely.
