Re: F*** :(
Hi Mike,
I have not come across this problem myself so can only offer suggestions.
Do you by any chance back up your local folder, if so then copy that back to your local files in the Trainz folder in Program Files.
There is one other extreme way, but be warned I am not sure if this would work, so this would have to be last resort measures and that is to wind your PC back 1 day before the problem and it might fix the problem, but I won't guarantee it.
If there are any other ways perhaps someone else on the forum might have an answer.
Just one other thought what version number of 2006 are you running, is it 3099 and above?

Re: F*** :(
If you haven't backed your local folder up then maybe you can use "System Restore" to go back to before this unfortunate problem occured. If that doesn't work then i don't what else you can do.
Work to live not live to work.

Re: F*** :(
Before doing anything including MS's system Restore which only seems to work properly, if you are very lucky, for MS products, I honestly think it often does more harm than good. Have you checked that your local folder is there and that it contains anything?
If it is and does, then save it somewhere safe and reinstall 2006 then add it back.

Re: F*** :(
Mike,
Have been thinking more on this one.
Judging by the build number it sounds like one of the original Auran disks. So with this in mind:-
What operating system are you using? XP/Vista/Windows 7.
XP will be ok but vista or windows 7 weren't around when first designed by Auran so will not work properly unless under administration rules.
Newer versions of 2006 are available from Focus Multi Media for both vista and Win 7.
I had a problem with similarities to this last year on a reinstall and it turned out to be a problem with the firewall and Norton Security settings blocking certain functions; especially the dls.
Hope this helps. if I think of anything else will leave a message.
Chris A.
