Thought I'd change it up clay wise and head over to the Parkandillack freight only branch. Drinnick Mill nearly complete, Nanpean Wharf and the works next.
Class 37 'Cookie' passes the large settling tank at Drinnick Mill on it's way to Treviscoe with a rake of hoods for loading
Passing Drinnick Mill which had many works and it's own power station!
The lines to the right were known as Drinnick Mill low level and access was gained with a reverse from the Nanpean Wharf
After much research it has been difficult to find out when the power station actually stopped generating, but the coal unloading facilities were used until the early 90's. The coal wasn't only for the clay kilns, but a collection point for local coal merchants.
The site at Drinnick Mill with the low level lines running between the different works, some of the ponds were already abandoned
After dropping the Tiger rail PBA's 37181 makes it way down the 1 in 40 slope to run round, a hood sits lonely next to Store No 6 following a defect
The Tiger rail wagons ready for loading at the store, 'Cookie' can just been seen in the distance on the high level heading to Treviscoe

Re: 24/05 - May 2024 Screenshots
As the LU Tube stock has been discussed recently then here is a WIP screenshot of my fictional underground network. The 1956/59/62 stock by Bird_d00 still looks reasonably good quality given its age and the more recent cast iron tunnels from SnakeLight64 provide a great way of connecting the stations.
There is not really much to see in terms screenshots of deep-level tubes, particularly when there are not many different station assets so I have tried to add interest where they run on the surface and have also got several subsurface LU lines with the A/C/D stock.
Kind regards,
Gary

Par Harbour
Back in the day many of the dries were still working around Par and in the harbour itself all three sites were still in operation.
The works was huge complete with settling tanks built into the hillside, which unlike many of the dries are still in operation today
A HST bound for Penzance makes it's way past the harbour works
Bulk carriers wait to be loaded, smaller ships were loaded at Par with the bigger vessels heading to Fowey
Busier days gone by at St Blazey
The turntable was still in operation with the engine shed in use up until the mid 80's
Recently this has been brought back to life and has been used to turn steam engines on charters to the Kernow

Re: 24/05 - May 2024 Screenshots
Greetings all great looking stuff. Here's a bunch from me trying my best to replicate the west Midlands as much as I can, Progress is slow but slowly made it to the rest of the route now to slowly re detail the rest of the route. The country side/rural areas are almost done then can start to detail the transition to the city based on the west midlands/Birmingham. the rest of the route is sort of complete but now I need to go through that part of the route and sprues up the detailing and surrounding areas going to take some time but will have screenshots at some point, Hope you enjoy the shots.
Regards Sleek.
