Chatham Main Line

Post by Bhorton »

Hello! I would like to announce a new route, The Chatham Main Line (Phase I). This Kentish line runs from Victoria to Dover Priory & Ramsgate. Phase I Swale (Newington - Faversham including Sheerness branch). I am working on this with WarspiteWorks, and any custom buildings will be made in Sketchup (Sorry, bad at Blender and GMAX  ) We live in the Sittingbourne area, so we have good knowlege of this route. Stations in Phase I will include Newington, Sittingbourne, Tenham and Favesham. On the Sheerness Branch, there is Sittingbourne, Kemsley, Swale, Queenbrough and Sheerness.
We have not started building the route, because we are trying to get some good track plans. Screenshots of our work to follow.

V1: Current day (2013, March), as the route appears right now
V2: 1990's: As the route appeared back then
V3: 1950's-1920's: For older trains
V4 (In Limbo untill the upgrades are done) 20--: The route as it will apeare when the Network Rail upgrades (Including the moving of Rochester) are done. In current limbo untill that happenes.

Question answering time:

@liverpool13- We are making it in TS2010 but I'm sure it we can adjust to other builds

@afleming97 (alex) - Yes the lamps will be very helpful, and the station board is going to be used somewhere on the route.

Chatham will be in Phase 2- When we add the medway towns into the route (just for info)

The route will take some time to build and I don't have that much spare time, but it will be out within at least 1 and 1/2 years- (worst case scenario)

No, there will be news when he posts updates. Please don't badger, as this is what causes annoyance on these forums.

I have just re-sized my shelters. Will probably not be doing much more progress over the Easter Holidays.

Well...
It is going to be slow because I forgot to put the current projects on my USB  - but I can start new ones, and I will be station bashing- (No not literally) but when the holidays are over, I shall resume building again.

And now I have got GCSE's :( which pushes a lot of time into revising, and then In Late June: Belgium and August: USA- so progress is very, very slow, but once the station buildings are finished then I shall hand them over to him.
CUrent Progress

Newington: 99%
Sittingbourne: 6%
Teynham: 15%
Faversham: 40%
Kemsley: 100%
Swale: 100%
Queenbrough : 100%
Sheerness on sea: 90%

EDIT- Newington now 100% and Sheerness now 95%
