What I do to ensure my work is safe from any hard drive crashes, blow ups, melt downs and any other catastrophes is store any work that's in progress on Google Drive. Due to it being cloud based it's free from the usual errors that come with hard drives.

Drive is free too and has a 16gb storage limit.

It is disheartening, but I will be remaking it as it was a good challenge.

I had a special build, I was doing to but lost all of that too, this will also be remaking a new mesh.

cheers all gary

I too am sorry to hear the models have been lost, though glad to hear they shall rise like the Phoenix once again!

Windows 10 has given be grief before also. A few months ago, when installing a second hard drive into my laptop, Windows decided it would corrupt the whole of my c drive into some unrecognisable disk format — the data was technically intact at the point but unfortunately I could not retrieve it. My only option was to use the recovery partition and initiate 'armageddon' to make my laptop useable again. I restored a backup that was a few months old but I was certainly not impressed with what had occurred.

Gutting. You got so far with that too :-(

Is it not possible to use some recovery software that may possible be able to restore it from your hard drive?

It'll be ready when you're ready, Gary, so don't worry about anything or anyone else ;) . It's looking superb too and it'll be a pleasure to have it. Looking forward to it.

Great work, Gary. Thanks a million for doing it.

Cheers

Great work Gary!

If you let me know what exterior bodywork photos in particular you need, let me know. I'll see if I can book a visit to the museum next week while I've got a bit of free time.
