This reminds me I really must get on with uploading the rest of the Stations IE Watford, Harrow and Marylebone onto the DLS.

A quick progress report:

I've been having to do a bit of tidying up really. I used the bulk asset replacement tool to replace bird_d00's LU lineside cabling with Karl's (klambert) but unfortunately, Karl's cabling is only single sided so much of the cabling appears back to front in many places. I've been doing the tedious job of going round reversing it.

[above] There are still plenty of gaps to fill in too [above.]

Much of the rest of the work I've been doing is also mundane; painting fields green, filling in housing here and there and generally joing the dots up. It's a shame really, but for the loss of bird_d00's assets this route wouldn't be too far off release.

Cheers

How have bird_d00s assets disappeared? I take it they were hosted privately rather than on the DLS?

They were on TPR
TPR's Download Depot has vanished into the ether. Server no longer exists since before Christmas so everything on there that isn't on the DLS has gone.
The Downloads were never archived on the wayback machine so no point in looking there for them.

I have good news!
I did manage to find the original gmax files on UKTrainSim:
https://www.uktrainsim.com/filelib-info ... leid=15804

So whoever has gmax can upload them to DLS. On a side note, I still am working on non-direct replacement but something to bring LU content up to a much better standard.

Regards,

Reece

Cheers for that Reece, I'm having a look now. I seem to be getting an error message in Gmax when I go to open the file saying; 'Can't open file, or has no audio streams'. Following this the actual mesh loads but the texture's do not, regardging the mesh, anyhting with a level of complexity, IE curves seem to be missing faces. I did try importing the MSTs shape files into 3DS max but it doesn't recognise them.
I have a funny feeling I need to install the MSTs plugin but I can't seem to find it, do you know of any threads on the other forum?

Edit, it seems the only source for the MSTs plugin was on the microsoft site, aka this one: http://www.microsoft.com/games/trainsim ... loads.aspx. However that link now only points to the main Xbox page and trying to find it via search bar was fruitless. I did try the Wayback Machine but to no avail.

I wouldn't have a clue but I had a little look around and found this site which has a active direct download from Microsoft servers: https://www.christrains.com/en/msts_faq.html

Direct Download: http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... mePack.exe

Hopefully this is what you're looking for bud!

Thought I'd post what I'm currently working on, with the disappearance of TPR and with it Bird_D00s content, I've started making some direct replacements for his LU Art Deco buildings. These will be available on the DLS. Plan is to also have them renameable as well as make a spline version of the canopy.

If you look on lutrainz.com they have been uploaded without needing to use TPR. All assets previously on TPR survive.

It's nice to see that these valuable assets are still available. However, David has refused to licence most of his scenery items on this site for use in T:ANE and so they are next to useless for my purposes. It's a shame really because, whatever David's gripe with Auran/N3V, it's only T:ANE users who are suffering any sort of loss.

Many thanks for the information though.

Sadly, due to continually failing health, I find myself in a position of not being able to complete this route before T:ANE becomes completely obsolete (and probably TRS19 too at the rate things have progressed.) I now face another series of hospital treatments and so time sitting in front of my PC will be even more limited. In order that all that hard work doesn't go to waste, I have today uploaded the route in its incomplete form to the DLS for those of you that may wish to toy with it. I'm happy for anyone to mess with it, add to it or whatever. I just hope you enjoy what I have managed to put together. Should anyone upload any variation of it or addition to it, please kindly acknowledge my efforts in getting it to its current stage.

Cheers

Dave ;)

Sorry to hear about your woes Dave, hope things work out ok.

I'll certainly be taking at look at your route, I can recall it pretty well mile for mile, though it's many years since I used it regularly.

Always good to hear from you Dave, regardless of the weather.

Very good of you to upload your route to the DLS. Perhaps not one I'm capable of handling, but I have a few people in mind who can probably do it the justice it deserves.

My best wishes to you as ever mon ami.

Cheers,
Innis
